Introduction
If you're reading this, it means you've been selected for the Contact Experience Program here at the SKY-1 Dream Research Laboratory. What we call the Contact Experience will be quite different and potentially more intense than previous altered states you've experienced here. However, we have deemed you to be physically and psychologically fit to safely handle exposure to this phenomenon. The first section of this document will provide a broad explanation of the program, and the following section will present a series of interviews from previous Contact Experiencers to give you an idea of what to expect.
Contact Experience Overview
The first thing to understand is that while we know how to cause a Contact Experience to happen, we have very little idea as to what it is exactly that we are making contact with. What we do know is that during the Contact Experience, subjects report encounters with seemingly autonomous entities that appear to possess their own intelligence and wisdom. In fact, most subjects report having had a distinct feeling that they were in the presence of a being vastly more intelligent and wise than themselves.
These beings present themselves in a multitude of ways. They have taken on appearances resembling angelic figures, mythical creatures, extraterrestrials, or sometimes more abstract forms such as complex geometry or patterns of light. An important thing to keep in mind is that our research suggests these varying appearances are not meant to be taken literally, and many of these entities are quick to point this out. There is far more evidence suggesting that these intelligences are borrowing, so to speak, familiar imagery from the unconscious mind of the subject to create a symbolic representation of themselves for the subject to interpret metaphorically.
Regardless of how they appear, these entities usually communicate using what would typically be described as telepathy. Subjects tend to experience the communications from them as emotionally charged thought patterns in their own minds which they then translate into verbal language. There is much overlap between Contact Experiences not only within the nature of these communications, but also the types of information conveyed, as you will see in the following section. Our central aim is to decipher their communications as thoroughly as possible so that we may learn the truth behind the Contact phenomenon.

I was standing in a large concrete room with no windows or doors. The room was a perfect cube, and all along the walls there was strange machinery clanking and whirring and flashing. I was looking around at all of it but I couldn't make sense of any of it. That's when I saw him. I say him because he had a masculine sort of presence. He was very tall, probably double my height, so just under twelve feet tall I guess. His head almost touched the ceiling. He had blue skin and large ears on top of his head that looked like bat ears. He had six arms, but the top two arms were more like wings than arms. Like bat wings, with thin skin connecting them to his lower back. In retrospect, I don't see how he would get very far off the ground with them considering his size. He was calm, very calm. Like, Buddha calm. As if he had never once known fear or anger. He told me, in my mind, that I was alone. He told me I was alone and that I would always be alone, but it was in such a way that it didn't feel like a bad thing. It felt beautiful, actually. I was overwhelmed with a feeling of deep love for myself and the world around me, and I could suddenly see that the world and myself were one and the same. I was alone, but so much more than just this body or the events of my life. As if to demonstrate the true vastness of who I am, the being stuck out his arms in opposite directions, and the room split in half. The two halves slowly separated, and I saw that we were in the middle of a pure, black void. It was like space, but there were no stars or planets or anything. Just nothing. The two halves of the room drifted away from us until I couldn't see them anymore. The being told me, "Welcome back." It sounds so simple, but it meant everything to me.

I was suddenly sitting in a large room. It looked sort of like a classroom, but there were two levels to it, and I was on the upper level. I was sitting at a long brown desk that looked like maybe eight people could fit on each side. Anyway, there was a pen and a piece of paper in front of me. When I reached for it, that's when the thing I met showed up. I felt compelled to look up, and floating above me was a... well, it looked a lot like a Luma from Super Mario Galaxy. It was like a realistic Luma though, it didn't look cartoonish or anything. It had those black, shiny eyes, but its body looked like outer space. It was like I was looking at one of those Hubble telescope images, except it felt so much more real. It asked me what I was writing through a voice in my head. I was like, "What are you talking about?" But then I looked down and saw that I had scribbled down the phrase "trump card" on the paper. It asked me if that's what I was looking for, and I was just like, "I guess it is." I felt sad in that moment. The Luma sort of floated down to me then, and asked what I needed a trump card for. I said, "Isn't that what everyone wants?" Then it made a movement that seemed almost like it was playfully scolding me, then it told me that we don't need trump cards. It reached out to me and touched my arm. Well, not really touched. Its little hand or whatever just phased right through me, and then I saw that I was made of outer space too. I couldn't tell where I ended and the Luma began. It said, I am you, and you are me. I'm the mana that you're made of, and you're the awareness holding me together. In the moment, it made so much sense. I started crying and then all of a sudden we were in this huge garden. It was beautful, truly beautiful. And there were blueberry bushes everywhere. It felt like I took a wrong turn and ended up in heaven.

I found myself in a city that resembled my hometown, but only vaguely. I was standing in the middle of the street and there was this huge structure in front of me. It was like a giant pile of random objects and pieces of cars and buildings. At first it just seemed like it was a mound of garbage that you might find at a landfill. But, when I examined it more closely, everything was attached to each other, like it was a sculpture that had been built intentionally. That was when it appeared. It was a tall figure in a dark hooded robe. I couldn't see its body at all, and it didn't pay any attention to me at first. It came up to the structure and reached out to touch it. Its hand was... so strange. It looked almost like a human hand, but there was something clearly different about it. The fingers were a little too long, and its skin was a little too pale. It pulled off a piece of what looked like a street sign, and a nail came loose and fell onto the street. It bent down and picked up the nail, and just held it. I had a sudden realization that it was waiting for me to do the same. The thought came out of nowhere. It took me a moment to realize that the thing in front of me had caused me to have that thought somehow. I pulled on a wooden board that was jutting out of the structure and it snapped off. A nail fell in front of me that had apparently connected the board to the rest of the thing. I picked it up, and when I looked up the entity wasn't there anymore. I turned around and it was looming over me. I could see its face fully. It was pale white, almost paper white. It had a small mouth with thin lips and tiny slits for a nose. I couldn't see any kind of ears. Its eyes were huge and black, and I could see my reflection in them. It was frightening, but the being calmed me down with a soft look that seemed to say, "I'm here for you, and you're safe." Then, the whole landscape melted away and morphed into the most beautiful garden I'd ever seen. It seemed to go on and on in every direction. There were huge trees, wood benches, brick archways, stone paths. The most striking part was the blueberries. There were blueberry bushes everywhere. They all looked so ripe and perfect. I asked the being, "What is this place?" It spoke to me clearly in my mind. It said: "This is the birthplace of everything that has ever been, and the final resting place of all that will ever be. Live with peace in your heart and the truth will find you."

I was walking through a park and some of my friends were with me. We were smoking a joint, which was strange because my friends and I don't smoke. Well, maybe once in a while, but anyway, I specifically remember them avoiding walking near the children while we were smoking. It struck me as funny because it's not like they were real kids with real lungs that could be damaged by any real smoke. It still would have felt wrong though, you know? My friends were engrossed in some conversation that struck me as wholly unimportant. Just conversation for the sake of conversation, which is fine, I guess. I didn't say anything because I knew it wasn't real, and I was waiting for Contact to happen. But we just kept walking and walking. It seemed like I was there in that park for at least twenty minutes without anything out of the ordinary happening. Eventually, we had finished smoking and, oh, by the way, I didn't get high in the dream. Anyway, we turn onto this busy street. There were people standing and walking around, as if they were at street fair or something, except there were no booths or tents or anyone selling anything. There weren't any open stores or anything either. I'm looking around at them all, trying to make heads or tails of what they're actually doing, and then I make eye contact with this one guy. He looked older, maybe in his late fifties or early sixties. He held eye contact with me with this unwavering intensity that really shook me. It felt like he was a scientist, looking into the eyes of an animal he was about to dissect. The more I looked at him, the more his face took on this uncanny appearance. I thought to myself, "This guy isn't quite human." Before I even realized it, he was right in front of me. He reached out in one swift motion and touched my shoulder. I was a little scared, obviously. But, it felt as though on top of that existing fear, he somehow forced an additional layer of panic onto my mind and body. My vision blacked out and I fell to the floor. After a moment of that strange panic, my vision returned and I saw that the man was dragging me physically by my legs down the street. He was strong and I couldn't get out of his grip. He dragged me maybe fifteen yards to this brick wall that was covered in images. He let me go, and started rambling to me and gesturing at the images on the wall. They weren't really images of anything, though. Just dark blobs and splotches of nonsensical forms. They were mostly black, with a little purple mixed in. The man kept rambling on and on but he didn't make any sense either. It was like trying to hear someone through water. I couldn't understand a word he was saying except for one line: "Doesn't it make you mad, Buck?"
